TRADITIONAL AGRICULTURE
In ancient times humans with the need for survival began with the hunting and fishing of different animals. With the passage of time and with new discoveries, techniques for the cultivation of different plants and fruits were developed, generating new ways of feeding.
The tools that were used were the sickle and shovel; the tractors were used only if the farmer had the necessary resources. Production was scarce and was limited for the consumption of the farmer and his family. In the 60's and 90's, research was carried out to improve crop yields, as well as their quality, generating a revolution in the way procedures and the use of different machinery are carried out today.
IMPORTANCE OF AGRICULTURE
Over the years, humans have developed tools and techniques for planting different types of crops, covering more than 30% of the farmland in the world and developing one of the largest international businesses.
Agriculture is a very important source of income for countries that are dedicated to it because the export and import of fruits and vegetables is an indispensable need for countries where fruits and vegetables cannot be grown, taking into account that it is indispensable to have this type of crops to maintain a healthy diet.
MODERN AGRICULTURE
Nowadays the way in which the plants are cultivated is totally different from what was previously done, the development of technologies allows a variety of high-performance seeds, smart irrigation practices with specialized drones, fertilizers, organic pesticides and crop rotation (sowing several types of seeds at the same time) can be implemented. As technology progress, new machinery is created that helps in the processes of soil preparation, irrigation, seed sowing, crop harvesting, fertilization and pest control, in each of these activities you need the participation of modern machinery making planting techniques and techniques simpler, faster and more effective.
SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE
Modern agriculture allows conserving and protecting natural resources, providing food and fuel to an entire country since it’s one of the main businesses in the world, all in a financially viable way for producers and consumers. For this, investment in agricultural research, development and extension is necessary, as well as the implementation of greater goods and services and processes improvement, which are derived from these investigations, to maintain a continuous improvement of quality and service by agricultural industries.
